The Melia Hotel is housed in an imposing modern building, remodelled in 1987 by the famous architect Orio Bohigas. It is a square tower combining dark glass windows and white panels that stand out between the surrounding buildings. The 314 guestrooms are comfortably upholstered and carpeted and feature neutral modern decor. They are clean and well maintained, as are the en suite marble bathrooms. The hotel offers a rich Continental buffet every morning in the bright, welcoming breakfast room, which is located on the ground floor. The restaurant is exquisitely decorated in soft colours and traditional furniture. During the day a wide range of select national dishes and international cuisine, ranging from the most simple to the most elaborate, can be sampled.
